Chartering department
The Chartering department consists of six
experienced dry cargo brokers, working tonnage in all sizes
and all commodities. The main focus is on the Finnish industries
import and export cargoes within Europe. Having close co-operation
with foreign and domestic Owners and Charterers enables
us to provide our clients with top quality service regardless
of the destination or commodity.
The main commodities on the import side consist
of clay, minerals, coal, grain, fertilisers and pulpwood
shipped mainly from within Europe. Overseas coal and grain
import also plays an important part in the daily chartering
activities.
The main export commodities consists of paper,
pulp, timber, limestone, steel products, fertilisers, grain and scrap
of which the main part is shipped within Europe.
During the open water season we handle regular
shipment to and from the Lakes Saimaa district consisting
mainly of forest products and raw materials.
